Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and what may be attractive to someone may be unattractive to someone else. In the end, beauty knows no boundaries, but there do tend to be commonalities among what the average observer considers attractive. And in my research on this topic, I discovered that symmetry is the most common thread, and I do believe that to be common knowledge. However, having features with a certain amount of “lift” has a significant impact as well.
Now, when I say lifted features, I’m referring to eyebrows, jawlines, and cheekbones. These features provide chiseled-like faces, which are considered the most attractive by both men and women.
NuFACE not only offers lifting of the face, but also provides the right contour that you have been looking for. How does it do this? Keep on reading…
I always loved getting the microcurrent treatment at the salon. In 15-20 minutes, they get rid of puffiness, lift the eyelids and cheeks, and brings out the true shape of your face. It is not painful and works for all skin types. So when I heard about the most popular home microcurrent therapy gadget NuFACE, I decided to try it immediately.
How does this device work?
The FDA-approved handheld device NuFACE generates low-frequency electrical currents at low strength, which work at several levels at once and affect the cells of the epidermis, dermis as they reach the muscles. This effect triggers a whole cascade of reactions, a result of which is the noticeably tightened skin, a more defined facial contour, and fresher skin tone. This tightening and contracting are exactly like a workout for your face muscles. And remember that, over time, the facial muscles begin to migrate downwards (I’m definitely noticing it in my thirties), emphasizing the importance of training the face.
This technique is not a new one – people have been using microcurrents for decades now. But during the pandemic, interest in this process grew rapidly and has since taken off.
Result after 2 months of use (before I got pregnant):
After my first session, I definitely had questions: “How? And is that all?”
The good news is that the effect of using the gadget is cumulative and becomes noticeable after a while. That’s why the manufacturer suggests that you need to observe the face for a couple of months, while using the device 5 times a week for 5 minutes.
The most obvious change after a session with home microcurrents is that the swelling and bloating goes away, under-eye circles brighten and complexion improves. In the morning, I normally have swelling at where my eyes and cheeks come together. After using Nuface, it goes away and my cheekbones become more contoured as well. The lower third of the face responds the slowest. I saw a noticeable (but not radical) effect on the face two months later: minimal changes with drooping corners of the mouth and nasolabial folds, and the entire lower third was slightly tightened.
What you should definitely not expect from NuFACE:
1) Massage – NuFACE is not designed for massage.
2) Noticeable twitching of muscles, metallic taste in the mouth and strong tingling, like during a salon procedure. With NuFACE, the maximum you feel is a mild tingling sensation on your skin.
3) Wow effect.
Bottom Line:
We already spend so much on beauty products and anti-aging creams, so why not on something that eventually pays for itself?
Am I happy with the device? Definitely yes. I will only clarify that the gel primer with which NuFACE is recommended but is a completely optional purchase. You can use the gadget with any water-based serum (oil does not conduct current): it is important that the face is moist and the electrodes can slide over the skin.
If you’re still undecided about purchasing it, reading the direct reviews left by people about the product will give you a clearer picture. And, regardless of how much of a discount you’ll be getting for injectables, trying NuFace will be worth your time and money. Good luck!
SHOP THE DEVICE
About the device:
This device is suitable for all skin types and helps in the reduction of wrinkles, fine lines, and puffiness. Along with that, it increases the tone and firmness of the skin, too.
About the brand:
This device was founded by a mother-daughter duo and micro current aestheticians, Carol Cole and Tera Peterson. The brand specializes in covering devices that provide at-home microcurrent therapies to treat fine lines, puffiness, and loss of skin elasticity.
Design of the product:
This device fits perfectly in the palm of the hand, making its use easy and comfortable. Coming with a charging station inside, it allows the device to get ready for your next use. One charge should last around two weeks.
The devices include a Gel Primer, which aids in the emission of electrons. You have to apply a thick layer of this primer across your face while using the device. Quick tip – if you find out that this electric micro current is giving your skin a bit of a tingly feeling, just apply a little bit more of the Gel Primer. Although it comes with a Facial Trainer attachment, you can select the one you are looking for as well. The Trinity Wrinkle Reducer treats wrinkles and fine lines while using red light emissions. In addition, the ELE attachment treats lip and eye problems.
How to use it:
You must clean and dry your skin before using NuFACE, both in the morning and at night. After cleaning, take a generous amount of primer and apply it to your face in a thick layer (or to anywhere you intend to use it).
Turn on the device and start gliding it in an upward direction with very light to medium pressure. Repeat the same process again for 5 minutes to heal and lift a specific area.
After you complete the procedure, you can either massage the primer into your skin or you can clean it off with warm water. However, the manufacturer recommends to massage it in and allow the gel to penetrate deeper into the skin for a double dose of benefits. For best results, use it for 5 minutes every day for 2 months. Now you can proceed to your skincare routine.
